Mackinac Island’s Mission Point Resort unveils 2023 vacation packages

Mackinac Island’s Mission Point Resort unveils 2023 vacation packages

MACKINAC ISLAND, MI – Mackinac Island may be blanketed in snow for the next few months, but the Mission Point Resort team is already working hard behind the scenes to create new experiences for their 2023 season guests.

Inside the Main Lodge, work crews have taken some walls back to their studs as a huge renovation project is underway. Just down the steps, the Round Island Kitchen is being reimagined. New flooring styles are being tested against color swatches for the restaurant’s booths and other new décor. Countertop details are being hashed out for the main bar which, just like the old one, will look out over a gorgeous expanse of Lake Huron.

Mission Point has unveiled its 2023 vacation packages. There’s a little something for everyone: Couples coming over for a romantic trip, golfers who like the idea of taking a horse-drawn taxi to and from their round, and people who love to travel with their dogs. There’s even a package designed to give guests a full “Mackinac Experience,” complete with tickets to Fort Mackinac, the Butterfly House, bike rentals and a pre-paid ferry ride.

Whether you’re booking a package this year or just reserving a night or two, Mission Point staff suggest locking in your dates early.

“We are seeing high demand already for our peak season dates in particular,” said the resort’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Sarah Ombry.

Mission Point sprawls over 18 acres on the island’s eastern “sunrise side.” It offers a mix of rooms and suites, as well as a spa and several restaurants on-site. Its waterfront location is enhanced by its landmark Great Lawn where Adirondack chairs invite hotel guests and island visitors alike to sit and enjoy the view.
