Bali “Warm Up Vacation” Hotels & Packages February 2022

Bali “Warm Up Vacation” Hotels & Packages February 2022

Indonesia’s holiday island of Bali opened for international tourism arrivals yesterday after announcements of this opening were made four days earlier, with hardly any information about the procedures.

It turned out that going on “vacation” wasn’t that easy due to a four-night “quarantine” that Bali wants to call a “Warm Up Vacation.” It turns out that you need to buy a vacation package from one of the five approved hotels to get a visa (you need to use a local agent or ask the hotel).

You can access Bali’s Tourism Association website here.

Bali’s Tourism Association has now put up a PDF that covers the eligible hotels, what they offer, and how much this “Warm Up Vacation” will set you back.

We have covered this recent opening twice this week:

Conclusion

It is challenging to see any genuine tourists entering under this scheme, considering how few have entered through Phuket’s Sandbox, which doesn’t require you to quarantine in a hotel but allows roaming anywhere around the island.

I am glad, however, that Indonesia has opened this alternative way to enter the country without having to spend found nights locked up in a hotel room in Jakarta. This is a great way to enter the country in a civilized way and have some R&R.

I have been to Bali numerous times and went through what Google Photos had for the island. There were quite a few that I cannot publish here. I have had such fun times there.
